Rusty Arena, Coyote, and Rufus, in front of " Empirical Phylos"

In the early eighties, Rusty Arena returned to Houston from New York to continue pursuing abstract painting in his hometown. the success that he gained from his artwork led him to open up Arena Design in ‘88. The hope was for his talents to be accessed by more individuals who sought enduring refinement through interior surroundings. Arena began drawing full-scale patterns to then be translated into silk-screens.

We make distinctive products by staying true to our large-scale serigraphy process.  We print on jute, linen, velvet, silk, and a variety of papers that become timeless pieces in homes across the country.  Every step of the process is done with 4 sets of hands in a 20,000 square foot warehouse in Houston, Texas. Our passion is a devotion to technique and the principle that each product our clients receive is intrinsically unique.

Within our collection, there are over 250 different pattern and color-way variations that can translate into custom services to fit the needs of each client. Along with our line of fabric and wallpaper we offer one-of-a-kind pillows and are constantly creating new works of art, both traditional and digital.
